SF confirms agreement on fugitive paramilitaries
Sinn Fein has confirmed that agreement was reached regarding paramilitaries on the run from the law at a meeting between British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams yesterday.
The party’s chairman, Mitchel McLaughlin, confirmed today that a number of issues regarding people with outstanding charges and warrants against them were resolved at the meeting. Sinn Fein wants these people to be allowed to return to the North without fear of being arrested and brought before the courts.
