Eradication of poverty 'within sight'

The Combat Poverty Agency has said the eradication of poverty in Ireland is 'within sight', but it stressed that a concerted effort is needed to achieve this goal over the coming years.

At the launch of a new strategic plan, the agency said important advances have been made against social exclusion in recent years.
