Campus Ireland executive lies
A report in today’s Sunday Business Post has created more controversy over the government’s Campus Stadium Ireland development.
The report claims that one of the unsuccessful bidders for the aquatic centre in Abbotstown is contemplating taking legal action to have the executive management of the stadium wound up.
A consortium called Dial says that the executive chairman, and former secretary general to the Department of the Taoiseach, Paddy Teahon, promised each of its members €14,000 towards the cost of their bids.
16 months on and the money has still not being paid to the consortium members.
This new controversy surrounding the chief executive of The Sports and Campus Stadium Ireland leaves more questions for the government to answer.
A full report on the on-going development of CSID under Paddy Teahon is expected in government offices this Wednesday.
