Unionist on paedophile charges
A top unionist official is been held in Chicago after been arrested on child sex charges.
John Stan Mallon, (aged 62), the CEO of the Ulster Scots Agency, was arrested by police after been monitored on an internet chat room.
"There was no doubt what he wanted to do was to rape a child and film it," an assistant US attorney claimed.
The Unionist CEO had been chatting to an undercover police officer on the internet in a sight called ‘Dad and Daughter sex’.
Mr Mallon arranged a hotel meeting with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
It is alleged that before he was arrested outside a hotel in Chicago, he bought condoms, sweets and a video to record his paedophile actions.
The Ulster Unionist Party insist that he was not in Chicago on official party business.
