Taoiseach says Ireland supports ongoing war

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has told the United States that Ireland fully supports the "war against terrorism".

Speaking in New York, Mr Ahern said: "We will support in every way open to us the efforts of the international community against this deadly common threat at the every foundations of civilised society."
