Courts Service says Lawlor has not paid €12,700 fine

Dublin west TD Liam Lawlor has not yet paid the fine imposed on him last month for failing to comply with the Flood Tribunal.

The deadline for payment of the €12,700 fine was yesterday and the Courts Service confirmed this afternoon that it has not received the money.

Deputy Lawlor will now have to pay daily interest on the fine and could be returned to jail if the total is not paid before April 9.
