Cowen welcomes UN call for Palestinian state

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Brian Cowen, has welcomed this morning's decision by the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution on the situation in the Middle East.

In an historic move, it has for the first time adopted a resolution endorsing a Palestinian state.
