Tipperary: Body found on bonfire

Gardai are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in Co Tipperary last night.

The grim find was made on the banks of the River Suir at Castle Lane in Carrick-on-Suir.

His body was found lying face-down in a fire by a group of teenagers at 9pm. He was carrying no identification.

Gardai have preserved the scene for technical examination and the State pathologist is due to carry out a post mortem later today.
