Nurses to press ahead with planned A&E strike

Members of the Irish Nurses Organisation are to stage a two-hour work stoppage in accident and emergency departments throughout Ireland tomorrow in protest at patient overcrowding and staff working conditions.

The move was announced at a press conference in Dublin this afternoon.
