Tanaiste wants answers over Aquatic Centre
The Tanaiste Mary Harney is said to be dissatisfied with the latest controversy to arise over the Aquatic Centre at Sports Stadium Ireland.
After a meeting with the CSBI board last night, she held two lengthy phone conversations with the Minister for Sport, Jim McDaid, today.
Mr McDaid insists that the board chairman of CSBI, Paddy Teahon, should have told him that one of the companies involved in the aquatic centre was a dormant one.
There were also suggestions that management should be restructured.
Mary Harney is still quite unhappy with the situation arising out of the Abbotstown project and will continue talks with the minister for sport tomorrow.
