FG slams Govt's failure to tackle poverty

Fine Gael has accused the Government of failing to improve living standards for the poor despite being in power for five years of economic prosperity.

Party spokesman Brian Hayes was speaking ahead of the launch of the Government’s anti-poverty strategy. He said the Government is unfit to manage a poverty strategy because of its failure to tackle social issues since 1997.
