Minister meets lobbyists over Disability Bill

The Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Mary Wallace, is meeting disability groups this afternoon to discuss the proposed re-drafting of the Disabilities Bill.

The Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Mary Wallace, is meeting disability groups this afternoon to discuss the proposed re-drafting of the Disabilities Bill.

The legislation was withdrawn from the Dáil after complaints from representative groups that it fell short of requirements.

Nigel Brander of the People With Disabilities organisation, said one of the main issues of concern is how long it will take to re-draft the bill.
