Co Mayo businessman to stand for PDs

A local businessman and farmer is to stand for the Progressive Democrats in Co Mayo in the upcoming general election.

PD leader Mary Harney said she was pleased to welcome a candidate of Billy Hefferon’s calibre and standing into the party. She also said Mayo needs a public representative to champion the county’s concerns.
