CAA urged to reveal price increase survey
The Minister for Consumer Affairs, Tom Kitt, has urged the Consumer Affairs Association to publish the findings of their survey into price increases since the introduction of the Euro.
Details of the survey were leaked to the Sunday Independent that revealed that prices have gone up by as much as 15 per cent in some cases since the Euro’s introduction.
The increases are expected to raise the rate of inflation by a half a per cent when the figures for January are released.
Minister Kitt says that the Irish consumers have a right to know if their prices have increased since last January.
