The Labour Party has sharply criticised the Government’s delay in tackling street crime after an 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in north Dublin last night.

Justice Minister John O’Donoghue announced a garda crackdown on street crime last week, but Labour’s justice spokesman, Brendan Howlin, accused him of acting too late.
