Ahern rules out freeze on drink prices

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said that, as a consumer, he is disappointed by Guinness’s plans to increase the price of its products in Irish pubs.

Guinness announced the 3.9 cent increase in the price of a pint yesterday, but publicans are expected to double that by taking their own extra cut.
