Nine injured in Monaghan tree fall

The occupants of a car and a minibus had a lucky escape today when a tree collapsed on top of the vehicles in Co Monaghan.

The accident happened around half a mile from Castleblaney, on the Dundalk to Castleblaney road, at around 4pm.

Two adults and seven children were taken to hospital after being cut free from the vehicles.
