Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams today rejected fresh calls for his party to sign up to Northern Ireland’s new policing arrangements when legislation amending police reforms is laid before Westminster later this year.

Ahead of Dublin talks with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, Mr Adams said proposals for police reform in the North did not go far enough to satisfy the nationalist and republican communities.
