Bruton calls for dropping of tax deal for pro-sports

Former Taoiseach John Bruton TD has called on Finance Minister Charlie McCreevy to drop the special tax deal for professional sports people contained in this year's Finance Bill.

"I believe that the proposed tax write off for retiring professional sports people should be withdrawn immediately from the Finance Bill.
