Cork gardai continue investigating attack

Gardai are continuing to investigate the violent attack in Cork city centre in the early hours of yesterday morning which left a 20-year-old man in a critical condition in hospital.

The young student, who is from Limerick, suffered a serious head injury when he was assaulted by a group of youths in a laneway off Grand Parade.

A garda technical team has carried out a forensic examination of the area and gardai in cork are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
