Greens criticise Bush greenhouse gas moves
US President George Bush is being criticised for not going far enough with new initiatives to curb greenhouse gas pollution.
He has announced a range of new measures designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from factories and farms.
The reduction which is planned for the next 10 years falls far short of the International Kyoto agreement on greenhouse gases.
Green Party TD, John Gormley, says it is a short-sighted approach and has attacked Bush for bowing to the industrial powers in the country.
