Eddie Collins-Hughes to stand in election

Eddie Collins-Hughes, the director of the Carers Association, has announced plans to contest the upcoming general election as an independent candidate.

Mr Collins-Hughes plans to stand in the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency.

Speaking today, he said he is dedicated to representing the needs of the disabled and to reforming the health service.
