Man fights for life after Derry blast
A man is fighting for his life in the North after an explosion at a British Army training camp.
The blast happened before noon at Magilligan camp in north Co Derry.
Police say the device exploded close to a rear perimeter fence of a camp near the prison and beach.
A male civilian worker for the British Ministry of Defence was seriously injured in the arms and lower body.
He's now said to be critically ill in hospital.
Suspicion has immediately fallen on dissident republicans who have launched several attacks in the same area within the past year, including on nearby British Army installations in Derry.
A full-scale alert has been made to other training camps and barracks in the North, while a security operation will continue at Magilligan for the rest of the day.
