Lawlor to attend Dail debate

Dublin West TD Liam Lawlor is to be released from Mountjoy Prison to attend a debate on his resignation.

A motion calling for his resignation is being debated at the Dail today and it had not been thought likely that Deputy Lawlor would attend.

A High Court order has been granted in the last half hour which will allow Liam Lawlor to attend.

The debate had been due to start in about 20 minutes - but it is thought that it may be delayed until Liam Lawlor appears at the Dail.
