A spokesman for the Central Bank has confirmed that the bank is carrying out its own investigation into the alleged $750m (€866m) fraud at AIB subsidiary Allfirst.

A spokesman for the Central Bank has confirmed that the bank is carrying out its own investigation into the alleged $750m (€866m) fraud at AIB subsidiary Allfirst.

He urged account holders with AIB not to panic.
