AIB remains profitable: Taoiseach

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has moved to allay fears of AIB staff and customers following the uncovering of a $750m fraud in the US.

The FBI has been called in to investigate the fraud in Baltimore, allegedly carried out by one member of staff who has since disappeared.
