Tánaiste 'must meet with AIB execs'
Fine Gael's enterprise spokesman, Charles Flanagan TD has called on the Tánaiste to seek an early meeting with AIB executives in the wake of the fraud investigation into AIB subsidiary Allfirst.
"Irish people need reassurance at the earliest opportunity that there are no severe consequences for investments or pensions.
"It appears extraordinary that lessons from the Barings collapse appear not to have been learned and management structures must be subjected to an early review.
"The reputation of Irish companies on the international trading stage is at stake and the Tánaiste needs to ensure that every effort is made to minimise damage."
