Weather conditions continue to create upset

The driving conditions in most parts of the country remain hazardous this afternoon after heavy snowfalls in the west, north and southwest overnight while rain and storm force winds are persisting throughout the country.

Services at Dublin airport are returning to normal after emergency workers were called out to clear an aeroplane that overshot the runway in the strong winds but there was no injury to any of the 180 people on board.
