Two pensioners killed in separate crashes

Two elderly men have died in separate road accidents in Co Donegal and Co Clare last night.

A 77-year-old man died when the car he was travelling in collided with a motorbike in Drumkeen, near Ballybofey in Co Donegal, at around 8pm.

The motorcyclist is also in a serious condition in hospital.

Meanwhile, a 72-year-old man died after his car collided with another vehicle in Inagh, Co Clare, at around 9.30pm. The driver of the second vehicle was also slightly injured.
