A motion of censure against Liam Lawlor is expected to be debated in the Dail next week.

The government is understood to be considering the text of such a motion, put forward by the Labour Party.

It is believed party whips have met to discuss the holding of such a debate and that Labour's Emmett Stagg has proposed a stinging attack on Deputy Lawlor's continued failure to comply with the orders of the Flood Tribunal.

The Government is examining the document and is expected to introduce the motion during its Dail time next Wednesday.
