Judge 'only interested in Lawlor co-operation'
The High Court judge hearing the Flood Tribunal's case against Liam Lawlor has said he is only interested in establishing whether the TD is co-operating with the inquiry.
The case has resumed after a two-day delay over whether the legal action was improper and should be dismissed.
Mr Justice Thomas Smith indicated that he was reluctant to allow cross-examination of Deputy Lawlor, because judging from bank statements the deputy has already produced, there may be more to come before the court.
He said it is a simple matter to establish whether the order to comply with the tribunal is being obeyed, and that is all he has to deal with.
The arena for sorting out the details is the tribunal, he added.
