SDLP and Taoiseach to discuss Omagh report
A delegation of SDLP ministers is due to meet the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, in Dublin later today.
The two parties will discuss the public row between police chief constable Ronnie Flanagan and Ombudsman Nuala O’Loan over the investigation into the 1998 Omagh bombing.
Mr Ahern has already signalled his support for Ms O’Loan, but said the controversy over her report has the potential to undermine the "new beginning to policing" promised under the Good Friday Agreement.
The SDLP delegation will include Deputy First Minister Mark Durkan, Finance Minister Sean Farren and Agriculture Minister Brid Rodgers.
