Possible breakthrough in Aer Lingus pilots row

Aer Lingus has moved to avert possible industrial action by pilots.

The national airline has offered pilots the same voluntary redundancy terms as all other staff. Aer Lingus wants 80 redundancies among the ranks of its pilots, and has already issued compulsory notices on ten.
