Daly to join minute's silence for Bloody Sunday

Former Bishop of Derry Dr Edward Daly is to join relatives of the victims of Bloody Sunday in remembering the moment troops opened fire in the city exactly 30 years ago.

Dr Daly, whose hunched figure waving a blood-splattered handkerchief became the defining image of the day, will observe a minute’s silence with the relatives of the 13 Catholic men shot dead during a civil rights march on January 30, 1972.
