Boy dies in road accident in Co Tyrone

A teenager has been killed in a hit-and-run incident near Fivemiletown in Co Tyrone.

The body of a 16-year-old boy was discovered lying on the Brookeborough Road early this morning.

The PSNI say they believe the boy was struck by a car as he walked along the road around midnight.

They have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

Meanwhile, a pensioner has been killed in a road accident in Ballymoney in Co Antrim.

The woman, in her 70s, was driving a Renault 19 car that collided with another vehicle on the Frosses Road near the junction with Glenlough Road.
