Martin attacked over carers' strike

Fine Gael has attacked the Minister for Health over his handling of the carers' strike.

Hundreds of people with intellectual disabilities have been turned away from residential homes because of the row, which is now entering its third day.

FG Deputy Michael Ring said Minister Micheál Martin intervened too late in the dispute to prevent it.

The Labour Court is due to hold a full hearing into the row today.
