Support for Bertie Bowl growing - Ahern

Bertie Ahern has said he believes support for the controversial National Stadium is growing, with almost all of Ireland’s sporting bodies now behind the project.

Yesterday, the GAA said a second stadium is needed in Dublin to meet the increased requirements of gaelic games following changes in the structure of the hurling and football championships.

Mr Ahern has interpreted this statement as further support for Sports Campus Ireland, which has already been endorsed by both the IRFU and the FAI.
