Cardinal hopes care dispute can be resolved

Cardinal Desmond Connell has said he hopes the pay dispute at residential homes for the intellectually disabled can be resolved "as a matter of urgency".

Cardinal Connell said the patients affected by the strike "are among the most vulnerable in Irish society and cannot speak for themselves".
