New evidence gives Lawlor extra week
Independent TD for Dublin West, Liam Lawlor, has been given a further seven days to avoid a possible return to jail.
Legal counsel for the Planning and Payments tribunal has requested more time from the High Court to consider fresh documents that were handed in by Lawlor at the weekend.
The Court is seeking to establish the current status of his ongoing co-operation with the tribunal under Justice Fergus Flood.
Lawlor still has two months and two weeks of a three-month jail sentence outstanding for contempt of court.
Lawlor could find himself back in jail again if he refuses to present the court with his credit card details and details of business dealings in Prague and Liechtenstein.
