Housing lists up by nearly 20%

The numbers on local authority housing lists across the country have increased by almost a fifth.

A new study by Focus Ireland shows the numbers on the lists more than doubled in Waterford, Westmeath, Monaghan and south Cork between November 2000 and November 2001. An increase of 76% was also recorded in Galway city.
