UDA admits Belfast murder

The UDA has admitted it shot dead Danny McColgan, the 20-year-old Catholic postal worker murdered in North Belfast on Saturday.

The admission came after security sources in the North linked the organisation to the killing and as the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern was calling on police to step up their action against loyalist terrorists.

The UDA says two pistols were used in the killing, which they say was in retaliation for recent attacks on loyalists.
