Suspicious device found in Limerick

Bomb disposal experts are currently examining a suspect device left outside the front door of a prison officer’s home in Limerick city centre.

The device was discovered on Shelbourne Road at around 12.30am.

Gardai are currently at the scene, which has been sealed off.

The incident follows an attack on another prison officer’s car in Limerick city on Monday.
