Victim of Co Monaghan house fire named

Gardai have named the elderly woman who was killed in a house fire this morning as 76-year-old, Kathleen Beatty from Scotshouse.

She died after a blaze broke out in her bungalow in the Co Monaghan village.

It is believed that the smoke of the flames overcame her while she was trying to escape from her house.
