Three euro heists take place in Italy
Armed bandits staged three separate euro robberies in Italy today, but police caught one gang and recovered their 95,000 euro haul.
Police intercepted the masked robbers getaway car after they held up the post office in Gualdo Cattaneo, south of Perugia in central Italy.
In a separate robbery two days after the new European currency went into circulation, thieves made off with at least 25,000 euros after breaking into a post office in the northern city of Udine.
In Sardegna, thieves smashed their car through a bank door and stole 200 euros.
