Gardai were today questioning a man about a fatal stabbing in Dublin.

A 57-year-old man was found dead from stab wounds in his flat in Dublin’s south inner city by gardaí, who were called to the scene shortly after midnight.

Gardaí believe the victim, who has not been named, died between 11pm and midnight at Oliver Bond House, on Oliver Bond Street.

The scene was sealed off and a team of forensic experts was carrying out investigations.

A man was later arrested and taken to Kevin Street garda station where he was being questioned.

A post mortem examination was due to be carried out on the body later today, a garda spokesman said.
