Lawlor legal costs decision expected today
The Supreme Court will give a decision on the direction of costs incurred by Liam Lawlor in his appeal against the severity of the sentence imposed on him for contempt.
Last week the Supreme Court said the return of Liam Lawlor to Mountjoy Jail for failing to co-operate with the Flood Tribunal could be delayed, to allow Mr Lawlor spend Christmas in New York.
Earlier this year, Liam Lawlor was sentenced to three months in prison for contempt of court after failing to supply all his records to Justice Fergus Flood at the Planning and Payments Tribunal.
He spent one week in jail and the rest of the sentence was suspended. Mr Lawlor was on course to return to Mountjoy last summer but he opted to appeal the severity of the sentence.
This appeal ended last week in defeat for Lawlor.
A decision the on heavy costs is expected this morning.
