350 jobs to go in Wexford
More than 350 workers at Wexford Electronics were told today that the company is to go into receivership.
The company manufactures harnesses for the motoring industry.
Managing director Brian Gill said the company is not making any money and he claimed it is past the point of rescue.
Staff at the factory, some of whom were not paid today, have vowed to stage a sit-in until they are informed of the company’s plans for the future.
Local politicians have said it is about time the Government made Wexford a priority because more than 700 people have lost their jobs in the county in the past six months.
