Code of Conduct for politicians essential, say opposition parties
Opposition parties are demanding that a code of conduct for politicians be adopted, following the decision by the Supreme Court yesterday that Liam Lawlor should go back to jail.
The disgraced Dublin West TD is due to be spending a second week in jail in the new year for failing to co-operate with the Flood Tribunal.
Labour Deputy Brendan Howlin says it is essential that the Dail has methods of disciplining such TDs.
