Road hauliers held talks with a Government representative this morning to discuss the increase in fuel duty in this week’s budget.

Road hauliers held talks with a Government representative this morning to discuss the increase in fuel duty in this week’s budget.

The leadership of the Irish Road Hauliers Association met with the chair of a Government task force, established in the wake of last year’s fuel price dispute.

The task force includes representatives from the Departments of Justice, Enterprise, the gardai and the Revenue Commissioners. It has agreed to meet next week to discuss the fuel duty price.
