Tanaiste weds IBEC boss

The Tanaiste, Mary Harney, has married IBEC boss, Brian Geoghegan in a small ceremony in Dublin yesterday evening.

The pair married in a simple registry office ceremony followed by a small private reception.

The Tanaiste had a busy day yesterday because she was also involved in the British-Irish Council meeting in the morning and she convened emergency talks between Irish Sugar and the IFA aimed at ending the row between the company and sugar beet farmers.
